Trump halts military assistance to Ukraine as tensions with Zelensky rise

The military aid given to Ukraine during the continuing conflict has been impacted by President Donald Trump's decision to cease it.

US President Donald Trump has put a halt to any military assistance to Ukraine, which will have an effect on the continuing situation in Kyiv.

"The President has made it apparent that peace is his top priority. Our partners must share our commitment to that objective. To make sure our assistance is helping find a solution, we are stopping and evaluating it," a White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP.
