Today's stock market: Smallcaps thrive as the Nifty 50 and Sensex continue their gains into the second day, gaining around 1% .

On Thursday, March 6, Indian markets continued their winning streak for the second straight session, helped by encouraging local and international indicators. Value buyers are now allowed to enter the market because of the sustained sell-off in domestic stocks, which has made India the major market with the worst performance since late September. This has caused valuations to drop to more manageable levels.

The Sensex closed at 74,340, up 0.83% from Wednesday's closing, while the Nifty 50 finished the day 0.93% higher at 22,544 points. With the Nifty Midcap 100 increasing 0.37% to 49,348 and the Nifty Smallcap 100 soaring 1.32% to 15,400, the broader market indices also finished higher.
