Today's Nifty 50 and Sensex: What to anticipate from the April 22 Indian stock market

Following the downturn in international markets, the key Indian stock market indices, the Sensex and Nifty 50, are probably going to open on a muted tone on Tuesday.

The Indian benchmark index is off to a slow start, according to Gift Nifty's statistics. At a discount of around 52 points from the previous closing of the Nifty futures, the Gift Nifty was trading at about 24,083 levels.

The local equities market indices continued to rise on Monday for the sixth straight day. The Nifty 50 closed 273.90 points, or 1.15%, higher at 24,125.55, while the Sensex surged 855.30 points, or 1.09%, to conclude at 79,408.50.

On the daily chart, the Nifty 50 opened with a gap up and created a long bull candle.

This is pointing to a clear upward breach of the downsloping trend line barrier as well as earlier swing highs at 23,850 levels. The Nifty 50 is currently positioned near the 24,200 next resistance level.
