Today's gold price: Last Friday's closing MCX gold rate was ₹85,820 per 10 gm, ₹729 less than the all-time high of ₹86,549.

Gold prices rose last week in response to a steep drop in the US dollar's value and a trade spat between the US and its trading partners. The MCX gold rate ended Friday at ₹85,820 per 10 gm, which was ₹729 less than the record high of ₹86,549 per 10 gm and ₹1,618 higher than the previous Friday's close of ₹84,202. After reaching a weekly high of ₹86,356, the price of MCX gold ended below ₹86,000. Thus, in the home market, the yellow metal was bouncing around the record high. COMEX gold completed the day at $2,914 per troy ounce, or $52 more than the previous Friday's close of $2,862 per troy ounce, while spot gold concluded the day at $2,910 per ounce, about $52 more than the previous Friday's close of $2,858.
