The NSE Nifty fell 671.2 points, or 2.94 percent, last week, while the BSE benchmark indicator, the Sensex, plummeted 2,112.96 points, or 2.80%.
In keeping with the gloomy trend in stocks, the total market value of eight of the top ten most valuable companies fell by Rs 3,09,244.57 crore during a holiday-shortened past week, with Tata Consultancy Services suffering the most.
The NSE Nifty fell 671.2 points, or 2.94 percent, last week, while the BSE benchmark indicator, the Sensex, plummeted 2,112.96 points, or 2.80%.
The Nifty fell 1,383.7 points, or 5.88 percent, in February alone. The Sensex dropped 5.55 percent, or 4,302.47 points.
