Putin praises PM Modi and Trump for their "noble mission" in resolving the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other world leaders for taking notice of the crisis in Ukraine. In his first public comments regarding Ukraine's willingness to accept a 30-day ceasefire, Putin acknowledged that their efforts are intended for a good cause. I want to begin by expressing my gratitude to President Trump of the United States for giving the Ukraine settlement such careful consideration. We all have a lot on our plates, but the Russian president stated, "many state leaders, the chairman of the People's Republic of China, the prime minister of India, the president of Brazil, and the president of the South African Republic."

Even though the leaders already had a lot on their plates, Putin valued the time they spent discussing the Russia-Ukraine issue. "They devote a lot of time to this issue, and we are thankful to them because it's all for the noble cause of stopping hostilities and preventing human casualties," he said.
