HAL Q2 earnings: EBITDA decreases YoY, sales increases 11%, and net profit climbs to ₹1,669 crore

However, the state-owned fighter jet manufacturer's operating profit, or EBITDA, fell 5% to ₹1,558 crore from ₹1,640 crore during the same time previous year. On Wednesday, November 12, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) announced a consolidated net profit of ₹1,669 crore for the second quarter of the fiscal year (Q2 FY26), up 10.5% from ₹1,510 crore during the same period the previous year.


From July to September, the Bengaluru-based company's operating revenue increased 11% to ₹6,629 crore from ₹5,976 crore in the same period last year.


However, the operating profit of the state-owned fighter jet manufacturer, often referred to as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), decreased 5% to ₹1,558 crore from ₹1,640 crore during the same period last year. Additionally, its EBITDA margin decreased to 23.5% from 27.4% during the same time last year.


HAL shares were down 2.51% on the NSE, trading at ₹4,740.50 per after the earnings.


Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is a Maharatna firm, a title given by the Indian government to central public sector enterprises (CPSEs). A major participant in the Indian aerospace and defense industry, HAL designs, produces, and supplies aircraft, helicopters, and related equipment.
